Lancair IV-P Garrett
A Lancair with a difference! This amazing aircraft is one of only four in the world to feature a Garrett Turboprop. With a beautiful interior and no-expense-spared avionics suite, this aircraft is the epitome of high speed luxury!
Background
The Garrett Lancair began with a brand new kit purchased direct from Lancair. As a recommended builder, the Innovative Wings team and the new owner visited the Lancair factory to take part in the Lancair 2 week builder assist program. With closed wings and windows installed, the kit was returned to our hangar where the serious fun could begin!
The Build
This well produced kit by Lancair was a blank slate for our client’s dream aircraft. Every part from the custom avionics suite to the one-off extended range tanks were custom engineered in-house by our team. The original 11 gallon fuel tank was insufficient for the client’s range requirements using a Garrett turbine. A custom designed belly tank added 36 gallons, bringing the total to 170 gallons. Enough for even a 840hp engine to cruise for over 4 hours at 320kts!
